Our Facility
Our custom woodwork comes to life through a combination of handcrafting techniques and commercial-grade machinery in our studio at Industry City in Brooklyn, New York. We believe that all projects deserve special care and attention, and because of that, we only work with a select group of clients at once.

Our Services
Custom Cabinetry
Our speciality, cabinetmaking, has long been our passion, and continues to be a meaningful part of the work we do. We love partnering with designers and architects to create and install residential cabinetry for libraries, living rooms, media centers and bedrooms.
Architectural WOODWORK
Interior designers and architects alike seek us out to join forces on projects that call for architectural woodworking elements. This custom work typically includes millwork such as molding, doors, panels or flooring. We also specialize in creating custom furniture pieces, such as tables and beds.
PERIOD Display Cases
Antique dealers and collectors engage us to create custom display cases that elevate their collections. We specialize in creating period pieces that complement collections. Our work can be seen at antique dealers showrooms throughout New York City, trade shows such as The Winter Show at The Park Avenue Armory, and in private collectors’ homes.
Art Fabrication
Artists often commission us to bring their creative concepts to life. In this process, we work hand-in-hand with artists to take their vision from idea to object. We use a wide range of materials to create these custom artworks, from accessible materials such as fiberboard, to fine and exotic hardwoods, such as Honduras Mahogany and Olivewood, to materials inspired by the work of Donald Judd in Douglas Fir.
Working Together
Current economic realities have had an impact on the budgets of most jobs. It is our view that the nature of custom work, with the degree of personal attention we provide, should include an ability to adjust job scope or specifications to suit in a competitive environment. As such, we are able to tailor our bids to match job requirements without compromising the final product.
Sustainability
Walter Goodman Cabinetry believes in doing our part to protect our forests. We recognize the issues and challenges of sustainability in the materials we use and are happy to work with and provide materials that are certified by the Forest Management Certification.
